EKITAG can do more than just collect stamps now! Adding a playful digital twist, this campaign will introduce a “Pompompurin Paradar” feature that lets you track themed trains like a moving parade across the railway network.

Simply open the application when one of the designated LTD EXP Azusa trains is nearby to spot characters moving on the map as the train travels, and enjoy a gamified rail experience unlike any other!

A Celebration of Travel, Characters & The History of Sanrio

This campaign also ties into the opening of the brand-new Yamanashi Strawberry King Museum, blending railway travel with regional tourism and Sanrio’s whimsical world. Dedicated to the founder of Sanrio, Shintaro Tsuji, this whimsically-decorated attraction can be accessed via Ryuo Station (竜王駅) on the Chuo East Line, which is also part of the “Fruit Area” of the aforementioned Stamp Rally.

Whether you’re a hardcore rail fan, a Sanrio collector, or just looking for a unique Japan itinerary, this collaboration offers a fresh way to explore the JR East network—with plenty of kawaii moments along the way.
