Our sightseeing boat lets you view inaccessible islands by any other means, and we explain their naming. You can witness the beauty and force of nature’s formations up close while feeling the ocean breeze and enjoying the scent of the sea, unlike photos or views from land. The boat operates in a bay with calm waves, so there is little chance of experiencing seasickness.
This is a one-way cruise from Matsushima to Shiogama (approximately 50 minutes). Sailing in shallow water 2 meters deep, you can see more islands closer; the view is said to have impressed Matsuo Basho so profoundly. This is a unique cruise course operated exclusively by Marubun Matsushima Kisen.

Please make your way to the Matsushima Kaigan Resthouse No. 2 Ticket Window. Take note that the cruise takes around 50 minutes.
