Produced by Suki Tokusan, a maker in Miyazaki Prefecture specializing in yuzu sweets, this soft yuzu peel is crafted using a careful, traditional method. The region of Suki in Kobayashi City is one of Miyazaki’s premier yuzu-growing areas. From November to December, freshly harvested yuzu arrives from local farms, filling the workshop with its invigorating aroma. Each piece is processed with great care, resulting in a long-loved snack known for its vibrant fragrance and gentle sweetness.

“The yuzu grown in the mountainous area of Kobayashi City has a particularly strong aroma due to the large temperature differences between day and night. We simmer the fully ripe yellow yuzu peel slowly, then allow it to absorb syrup over several days, adding a touch of acidity at the end for a well-balanced finish.
