Back by popular demand and into its sixth edition, The Japan Rail Fair (TJRF) 2025 organised by JR East Business Development SEA Pte. Ltd., and held in celebration of Japan’s Railway Day (Tetsudō no Hi, 14 October), is set to delight one and all again from 9 to 11 October 2025, 11am to 8pm! 

Pulling into the breezy and spacious Urban Park at Guoco Tower just outside JAPAN RAIL CAFE, this free event is a celebration of the country’s beloved railway culture that extends beyond being simply a mode of transport. It embodies an integral part of Japanese life, and includes merchandise, jingles, eki (station) stamps, retail experiences and food offerings. TJRF is also a resource wonderland, offering invaluable insider information by experts to make one’s next trip an unforgettable one. 

Stamp Your Way Through Japan 

Travel enthusiasts, families and Japan fans alike may look forward to 23 exciting and interactive booths representing various prefectures such as Aomori, Nagano and Gunma, tourism organisations and sites, as well as F&B brands. To round off the experience and add vibrancy to the atmosphere, there will also be cultural activities, regional showcases, stage performances, and true to this year’s theme – Stamp Your Way Through Japan – a large-scale eki stamp rally features 23 stamps and a unique multi-layered centrepiece stamp, sure to thrill any avid collector and entice others to start a collection! 

Celebrate the spirit of exploration with an exclusive multi-layered centrepiece stamp that is inspired by iconic Japanese railway stations and travel moments. Each layer reflects the timeless charm of train travel in Japan, capturing the nostalgia, excitement, and discovery that come with every stop along the way.

Eki Stamp Rally Lucky Draw

Visitors can also look forward to the eki stamp rally, with six unique stamps to collect across various zones with the 23 unique booths at the fair. Complete the eki stamp rally ticket to qualify for a daily 7pm lucky draw and stand a chance to win prizes such as round-trip Japan Airlines and AirJapan tickets, JR EAST Passes, JAPAN RAIL CLUB Omiyage snack boxes and souvenirs from exhibitors! 

300 goodie bags will also be given away over three days to eki stamp rally participants.

In addition to providing information, insights and activities, these booths will feature exclusive offers that encourage visitors to take their travel planning offline and explore in real life. The public may also look out for stage presentations by select participants such as Azumino City, JAL and JNTO that will further showcase the unique appeal of off-the-beaten-path destinations and hidden gems. Interactive elements such as photo opportunities as well as meet-and-greet sessions will further enhance the visitor experience.

The popular travel and tourism booths make a comeback this year, manned by enthusiastic experts with a wealth of knowledge to share. Browse and explore key participants such as AirJapan, Azumino City, Hakuba Valley, Japan Airlines (JAL), Nippon Ski Resort Development Group, Japan National Tourism Organization (JNTO), JR EAST Yokohama Branch Office, Discover Gunma Prefecture, Yamaguchi Prefecture, and more.

Visitors may embark on a tasting journey at TJRF to discover the bounties that Japan has to offer. Quality snacks, produce and alcohol will be available for sampling and purchase. Highlight booths include HINEMOS that specialises in sake, JR Fruits Park Sendai ARAHAMA that will offer Japanese pears grown on their own farm, Katanukiya, a brand of ‘cut-out Baum’, a fluffy layered cake shaped like animals and Sanrio characters, Hokkaido’s Yotsuba Milk Products featuring high quality dairy products, and JAPAN RAIL CAFE that will showcase exclusive “open onigiri”, a modern twist on the classic Japanese rice ball. Unlike traditional onigiri, these are served in a convenient self-wrapping style – customers can wrap the nori (seaweed) themselves right before eating, ensuring maximum freshness and a satisfying crisp bite.

The young and young at heart will also enjoy cultural performances such as the lively ‘Suzume Odori’ or Sparrow Dance – a popular feature of the Tohoku Kizuna Festival, a regional event that brings together the lively traditions of all six prefectural capitals in the Tohoku region, dynamic cheer routines by Albirex Niigata Singapore Cheer Dance School and mesmerising instrumental performances by the Wind Ensemble Nippon Singapore (WENS).

Visitors can make a pit stop at the JAPAN RAIL CAFE and immerse themselves in the charm of Hirosaki City through a special menu. Available exclusively from 1 to 31 October 2025, the special menu offers diners a chance to delight in three creations inspired by Hirosaki’s world-renowned apples. 

Diners can look forward to sweet treats such as the Aomori Apple Tart, a delicate treat layered with whipped cream and cider-soaked apples for a perfect balance of richness and fruity brightness, and the Aomori Apple Parfait, which combines the freshness of apples with creamy indulgence in a beautifully layered dessert. For a refreshing accompaniment, the Aomori Apple Fizz is a sparkling drink that highlights the crisp sweetness of Aomori apples.
