Umaji Village Agricultural Cooperative Association

From Kōchi

Maker of “Gokkun Umajimura Yuzu Jelly Drink” and “Ginger Yuzu Dry”

Umaji Village is located in the mid-mountainous region of Kochi Prefecture, Shikoku, Japan. With a population of less than 1,000, the village has created a yuzu industry and has sold many hit products to date.

Authenticity with 100% Locally Sourced Yuzu

“Although it is a small village with a population of less than 1,000, Umaji Village is blessed with great natural beauty and in summer, ayu (sweetfish) dance and river eels swim in the Yasuda River, which flows through the village. In winter, the yuzu trees turn yellow, creating a contrast between green and yellow. There are also occasional flurries of snow.” – Mr. Iwasada (岩貞), Director, Kochi Sales Office

A Small Village With a Big Love for Yuzu

“The area is rich in nature and onsen, attracting visitors from all over the country who are looking for healing. We invite you to visit such a village in Umaji.”
