Named after a set of Kabuki plays strongly associated with the Ichikawa Danjūrō line of actors who perform in Shochiku's Kabuki theatres, Otsumami Jyuhachiban is a packet of 14 kinds of rice crackers, including Kumaori Senbei. Yanagibashi Ippinkai offers a selection of artisan products that are devoted to the 'taste of the season'.
Whole fresh amaebi (sweet shrimps) are grounded and kneaded into the dough of these rice crackers. When you open the bag, enjoy the aroma of amaebi as it spreads in the air! Each individually-wrapped senbei has a kabuki illustration imprinted on the senbei as well as on its wrapping paper, representing famous scenes and passages from Kyogen plays.
