Go on an unforgettable night trip around the port city of Hakodate in Hokkaido! Departing from JR Hakodate Station, this tour offers an opportunity to explore the nighttime attractions of Hakodate City, with an English-speaking guide picking you up in a chartered taxi. First, you will visit a seafood Robata-yaki restaurant featuring irori, a traditional Japanese sunken hearth, where you will enjoy a variety of local ingredients. After the meal, you will board the taxi and head to the foot of Mount Hakodate, where you will take the Hakodate Ropeway. During the ride to the summit, you will enjoy the breathtaking night view, which has earned three stars in the Michelin Green Guide Japan.
Next, enjoy a scenic night drive through the Motomachi Church district, the Kanemori Bay Area, and other spots. The tour concludes with a unique and fun experience: Japanese snack bar hopping. This part of the tour allows you to connect with “Mama” and residents who know and love the area more than anyone else. Through their stories and warmth, you will truly feel the charm of Hakodate.
Tour itinerary:
JR Hakodate Station (5:30pm) → Dinner at the Robata-yaki restaurant (5:30pm – 7:00pm) → Night view from Mount Hakodate + round-trip ropeway (7:10pm – 8:00pm) → Scenic night drive to Hakodate Catholic Motomachi Church, Kanemori Bay area, etc. (8:10pm – 8:30pm) → Japanese snack bar hopping, 1 location (8:40pm – 9:40pm) → end at JR Hakodate Station
