Understand the World of Sake: Sake Folk Culture Museum and Sake Factory Tour

Join us on a delightful tour of the Sekiri Ichigake Brewery in Ichinoseki City in Iwate Prefecture, where you can explore the Sake Folk Culture Museum and Sake Factory. The brewery is housed in a renovated two-story storehouse that was once one of the largest brewing warehouses in the Tohoku Region.

During your visit, you can learn about the history of sake brewing and sample three different types. After your tour, you can enjoy a delicious sake shabuzen with mochi at the adjacent brewery restaurant.

As a bonus, the first 100 visitors can stop by the Ichinoseki City Tourism Association on the first floor of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry, facing the west exit bus terminal of JR Ichinoseki Station (JR一ノ関駅), to receive an original tenugui (Japanese towel) map. Tour Itinerary
– 10:00am: Meet at the direct sales office
– Visit the Sake Folk Culture Museum (approximately 30 minutes)
– Tour the sake factory, and enjoy a sake-tasting session (approximately 20 minutes)
– 11:00am: Enjoy a sake shabu set lunch with mochi at Sekinoichi Brewery restaurant
